God's Life Giving Word - Psalm 119: 25-32
Down there I am tasting dust
please bring your living giving word
feed my soul fill it with your life
may it once again be truly stirred
The opportunity was given to speak
so I could tell of what was my way
realization hit me to be taught
in the word of God to lighten my day
Please give me your spirit of understanding
so to meditate on the works of God
within myself, I feel to be melting
bring strength to me by your swift sword
Lord, please remove all falsehood
bring your word close by your grace
the way of faithfulness is my choice
God's law keeps me straight on my case
With everything, I cling to my God
His testimonies keep me from shame
keep me running beside your truth
never again will I be the same
(This is my " Psalm 119 project" which I began to write a couple of years ago, so this is the fourth poem of twenty-two poems I've written over that time to cover all of Psalm 119.)
