God's Greatest Gift

From the moment of my birth
I felt the presence of a special love
Unconditional and everlasting
A gift from up above
This love would gently guide me
Through all the days of my life
It would share my times of happiness
And take the brunt of all my strife
It lead me on a path of righteousness
Yet many times let me walk alone
ItÍs guidance and support remains
Even now that I am grown
I often sit in amazement
At how this love remained so strong
Through my trials and tribulations
And all that IÍd done wrong
This love has never failed me
Though many times put to test
Never judging the choices I made
Or lack of praise for doing my best
And to this day, itÍs never shone brighter
Though the miles between us are many
If asked of a love that is greater
From the heart, IÍd say ñthere isnÍt anyî
Now many years have passed
I have children of my own
I pray to the heavens every night
That they will feel the love IÍve known
I Íll go through life, knowing I am blessed
And thank our god above
For giving me a wondrous life
And the gift of a MotherÍs love
