"god's Bad Rap"

Love is Christianity not religion
Religion is devised of mind mischief!

Love dwells not religiously in a mind of mischief
But a mind swells religiously in it’s mischief!

So renew the mind to be Love’s kind
Dwell not religiously in the mind!

Folks, Love is all the reality there is
Not of ego of mind’s show biz!

Temporal lessons of life a quiz
To teach your mind where your Love is!

Your mind displays your tree of death
And by it’s tongue accomplishes it’s quest!

Speak now or forever hold your peace
Good advice, first determine your yeast!

Is it religion or is it Love
Of the mind or of a heart of Love!

There is no power but of God’s Love............................................(c Ro. 13:1)(I john 4:8)
Love, the power of your choice, death or life!............................(c Deut. 30:19)(Pr. 18:21)

Without the very mercies of Love
Humanity never would rise above!

The being of choice, life or death
Every human being has voice of choice!

Foolish to blame a God who is Love
For the death of your very own voice!

Good one, Moses! I am glad that I read this today. I have heard people "Bad mouth" God saying that a loving God wouldn't allow...hell etc. This poem is the answer to that one. I feel blessed to have learned something that will help me in my life. Your words contain wisdom. Thank you for doing God's work. Agape. Smiling, Dane Ann

I agree totally. My dad sent me to church growing up with friends and several of his seven wives. My mother though sang in her church choir, a beautiful voice. She taught me Onward Christian Soldiers. She died when God and the Devil fought over her soul. God won. I saw it in a dream shortly after her death. I go to church occassional for the sermons and singing, but pray daily. Ellen

well, I LIKED your last lines too, in this interesting poem about religion and love. YEs, there is a world of difference between being "religous" and of having the true "love of God" Andrea

So True. Spirituality fosters love, religion provokes judgement. I love this poem, Moses! Love is the key to everything. Thanks for sharing.

Poignant message you have penned here Moses....and I do agree. God is love. Many claim to be religious but do not abide in Him...nor do they try to spread His word...you are a wonderful voice!! Thanks so much for sharing this uplifting piece and for taking the time to read my writes. Many thanks too for your always kind comments and words of encouragement. All is very truly appreciated! Have a blessed day~Mary

You got everything right in this poem, Moses. The message is true and powerful, the words are creative and all of the stanzas are well rhymed. There are many people who consider themselves "religious," but it is the spiritual ones like you who spread the word of love who keep us grounded and centered. Awesome writing, my friend! Love you, Carolyn

Love is of God for God is love. It is hard to live in that Agape love. Even when we ask God's help, invite the Spirit to abide..it is not easy street. Keep the creative pen flowing. Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work. Sara Soup Mail
