God's Answered Prayers'

Our Lord has a way of teaching, His way on how to pray,
He tells us in the 'Our Father' it's His only way.
Not to be repetitious in our Spiritual words,
Down on your knees, we humbly pray to our Lord.

How we pray, where we pray, in so important to Him.
On your knees, reverently, humbly, it all starts from within.
Acknowledging your a sinner, we are continually asking for His love.
To have the wisdom, patience, compassion given to you from above.

When praying you have a direct line, to Our Father.
Asking specifically for His blessings, in one way or the other.
He already knows your thoughts way before you pray and ask,
Whether He grants it, well it's up to Him, asking humbly is the task.

Sometimes the Lord will not grant these request,
He'll always give you what you need, but sometimes He feels it not the best.
The door to salvation this is what we should seek.
The world might be given to you, be humble in prayer, but don't be meek.

Praying to your Father, is really the most important thing,
Praying, will bring the love out, watch what it brings.
A perspective of seeing others, through their hard times,
an answered prayer, is a blessing, knowing it will be answered and all will be fine.

Our Lord gets many prayers with requests, Robert, and few of thanks. The nuns in school told us this. The only requests I make are for guidance to make the right choices or signs that I am on the right path. As Emily Dickinson said in "Some Spend the Sabbath," we often feel closest to God when we are surrounded by the natural beauty he created. When I far offshore fishing, I feel the greatest connection to Him. A very inspring and beautiful poem. Happy Easter! Love, Carolyn
