God What a Father

He cares for him whose eyes are in tears;
His grace He bestows not but He shares.
And the one who is deprived of hope He cheers.
Always rescuing a man from the thing he fears.

Just as a shepherd tends his sheep,
So does God make His love very cheap.
How daily He undertakes some life-saving trip,
To deliver those who are not in His ship.

He loves to help His own without being told,
And a heavy covering to them that are feeling cold.
He is viewed as a safety sign on a bad road.
And to him who believes, He is a stronghold.

God blesses the earth with good rain,
Settling His farmers on a fertile plain,
That they can be proud of great gain.
Oh! How loving God is, no man can explain!
