God Slams Back
So I’ve to sort out all the
worlds problems and strife,
Is it not enough that I created
you and let you think,
Now you can’t even
do that for yourselves,
It’s all what would god want,
why does god let this happen.
Well let me ask you this,
why have you killed in my name,
Plundered just the same,
Banished the sick and lame,
Then say I’m to blame,
You worship me
You hate me
You curse me
You serve me
All in your own way.
Why don’t I end disease
grief pain poverty needs,
I hear and see all your plea’s
I despair but cannot accede.
Can only happen this way,
there is no script,
I may influence your day
don’t intervene, I pray
Might give you a nudge,
a peep a clue, out of the blue,
the other guy has his tricks too.
I’ve got enough on my plate,
a universe to keep in place,
Who’s watching my back,
I can’t always be awake,
must keep heaven ready,
for souls you burnt at the stake
give me a break.
It’s your planet
I want you to inhabit,
then you have doubt
what life’s about,
it’s ok so do I,
But we must see it out.
It’s not perfect was
never meant to be
You need a fall guy,
or a shoulder, thats me,
you can also choose to ignore.
Live it your way
I pity you
I love you
I made you
I serve you
in my own way.
A man wrote this slam you say
Impersonating god is not ok,
well listen to yourselves
before you slay
And yes this guy does pray
in his own casuistry way
Could I write this any other way
of course I’m a hypocrite,
One shaped by dismay
