God Sees Me Through the Blood

GOD SEES ME THROUGH THE BLOOD I see my many failures, the wicked things I’ve done; God sees me pure and righteous through the blood of His dear Son. I see all of my weakness, the years that have been lost; God sees me as forgiven through the blood of that old cross. My memories often haunt me like a raging, violent flood; God has none of these memories but sees me through the blood. I’ll never understand why He’d take a wretch like me, That any worth or value in my life He would see. There may be other people who see my failures still, And words of condemnation may often their mouths fill, God never will condemn me now that I’ve come to Him Repenting of my failures and sorry for my sin. He’ll see me now forever through justifying eyes And helps as I press onward for heaven’s crown and prize. I’m glad He doesn’t see me in that old pit and mud Of sin and all its failures, but sees me through the blood. Each time I think about it, I start to cry again That He would have such mercy to forgive me from my sin. I thank Him and I praise Him that as me now He sees I am His child forever through the blood of Calvary.
