God Seeks a Man

God, still searches for a man
from crowded earth.
Not to hang for sin a tree,
heal the lame, or give one birth.

God, still searches for a man
who's not afraid.
To stand amid the throngs,
to do as He has bade.

God, still searches for a man
not the ultimate hero type.
But one laborer, for His fields,
It's harvest time, the grain is ripe.

God, still searches for a man
qualifications for this job are few.
A mere willingness of heart
and you will do.

Very nice and simple poem. I think it's definitely a message we need in this day and age. We should always be bold in our stand for Christ. Well done!

Tom your poem really touched me. I used to sing a song in church , My table's full but my fields are empty", this poem reminds me of that. People with the a servant's heart are few but it only took 12 to change the world, I still want to believe they are there. In Christ, Laurie
