God Monitors Our Goals
Because God has a purpose for our lives,
He chuckles at some plans we make.
God lets us know that if some plan survives,
It will cause other hearts to break.
In life we've objectives so toward we labor,
Encountering detours beyond our control.
We haven't anticipated family or neighbor,
Unintentionally keeping us from our goal.
So we should live each day as if our last,
Subsisting in another avenue being unwise.
With eyes not fractured on future and past,
But intently focused on the terminal prize.
