God Is Near

The birds sing that God is near
Flowers shine for his love so dear
The brook whispers as it glides past
That God's creation will forever last

Sun sets on this majestic plain
My heart is forever changed
For this heaven that I see
Reminds me God is waiting for me

Listen to that soulful whip poor will
Take it in and let your heart be still
Let God take you by the hand
And lead you to his promised land
