God Is My Inspiration
I look around and listen
to what my mind wants to say,
sometimes words come out wrong
but it isn't every single day.
God is my inspiration
I thank Him for my gift,
being able to write
gives my soul a gentle lift.
Sometimes I write poetry
at times, it comes out strong,
other times, I just give up
don't care if it comes out wrong.
God is my inspiration
I don't thank Him enough,
He keeps me going strong
even when times get tough.

I think God drives my soul to write. There are things that need to be penned and I am happy He's behind me 100%. I never thought that I'd ever become a writer. I quit High School when I was in Grade 10 and I didn't know where my life was going to take me. I'm ashamed to tell the world that I don't have a High School diploma, but why should I let that, stop me from being the real me? I'm a writer. Guess I should get used to it!
