God Give His Holy Blessing

God Give His Holy Blessing

So many soldiers today want to embellish
Who we all should forever try to relish
Saw badges and medals worn by them
We now sing and offer this humble hymn.

There is no way that I could be more direct
Each soldier and sailor deserves our respect
No one knew who were dead or did survive.
Or would return home to us remaining alive.

Communications in those days was awfully poor
Which we thank God is not now anymore
I still can't help and must continue stressing
God has given each one His Holy blessing.
