God Gave

God gave wind its power
The sea all its strength
Where the river would run
And the distance of its length

God gave the paths that thunderclouds sail
How much rain will fall
Where snow covered mountains will dwell
And the sunlight for us all

God gave us his companionship
To live in harmony with love
As his loving children
And the Father up above

God gave his only son
For us to conquer our sin
With the gift of the Holy Spirit
That lives within

God gave us all we need
Since man got his start
And all God wants in return
Is the love in our heart
