God Does Not Laugh At the Blunder of Fools

Frowning, I read the words of a sanctimonious poem. one t'would be praised and lauded by sinful, Jeroboam. Its lines were written by one who is ignorant and daft to think at mankind's flaws, almighty God would laugh. Scorn Satan if insisting on talking about liars and fools. Their weaknesses exploited. They're the devil's tools, but don't point a finger at God, thinking He's amused. It's terribly irreverent to Him when He's falsely accused. To think God would chuckle or express an ounce of mirth over the grievous wrongs taking place today on Earth, makes one look quite foolish, and I'll say, "Shame on you!" The hand that scribbled such words is guilty of a snafu. Have you no respect for our Father, the God of love? Piety seems to be a quality this poet has fallen short of. Read scripture for a better understanding of theology and think about saying a prayer, offering God an apology.

Well someone has got it wrong Jenna..' I can see where you are coming from here The depths of God are unfathomable In answer to Rico's thoughts.. But that does Not mean there are no guidelines.. If any Would instruct God, then let them first raise The Dead.. And the family of Job that was taken From him, Supply them with a better reality for The God who is just will have done just that.' Yes he can take..Yet he can give in place even Better.'

Jenna, one of your many talents is your ability to call a spade a spade. God will not be mocked.

John, I try to overlook many writings that leave me shaking my head, but there are some that I simply cannot ignore. I always appreciate your visits and the complimentary remarks you leave for me.

It seems everyone knows more about God than I do; Christians, Muslims, and Jews all claim to believe in the same God, yet - despite multitudes of "experts", their god remains a complete mystery to them all . . . .

I find nothing mysterious about God’s Word, or his plan for mankind. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Seems I’ve missed the poem alluded to, which inspired this one but it’s great you spoke out … and how!

When I read her poem, Jenna, I just shook my head and thought, What an idiot! I realize she's not quite all there any more, so, I just moved on. Glad you wrote this because you are a strong voice for what is right and good. Yes, indeed, she owes God an apology!

I have a similar take on most of them, but this one I took umbrage with and couldn't sit on my hands. Thank you, Milt. I should resign myself to no longer reading such folly.

I read the same poem as you Jenna and I was also disturbed by what it said. God does not laugh at evil. If man's sin was such a joke then why would he have sent Jesus to die on the cross for us. Awesome poetry Jenna!!

Your reaction was the same as mine, Mark. To give His only son so that we could be released from sin and death was the sacrifice of love. Certainly not the gesture of a god who would laugh at human imperfections. Thanks for your ideals.

Thank you, Jan. I’ve been overlooking a lot but could not ignore the idiocy of the one I took issue with.

Amen! There is a difference between “mistakes” and intentional “sins.” Thank you for writing this. This is a time in history when poets need to lead, speak loudly for God’s created Love and compassion, his Will for peace…especially with the Passion of this Holy Week and coming Easter; there was no mirth in that sacrifice!
