God Bless Those I Call Friend
I cherish my friends and I know that they care,
Good honest people who are not ashamed to bow their heads in prayer.
Most are a common lot, but would share their last slice of bread,
And would go to bed a little hungry them self to see a friend get fed.
Through thick and thin, through good and bad,
Through the happiest times, they are usually there you when you’re feeling sad.
They are special people God places in your path just for you to find,
He knows when we need a little help and they are there to help us ease our mind.
And they may leave as quickly as they entered in,
And that may have served only one purpose that you saw and that was simply just to be a
friend.
Should I have ever called you friend, know those words were straight from my heart,
And those memories we made my friend, from me they will never part.
