Go On

The dust is settling in my life,
like truth around me, as a wife
can settle faith, with her contrive
or moment's glory cancel strife.

My days are numbered, what think I
the earth can turn without my vie,
but lead me on, Oh faithful dawn
the dust can settle when I'm gone.

The road can bend without reply
but what think I, so what think I.
The truth is endless, so a lie
conditions render how of try.

As trust can nettle - so a song
can merit solace with belong.
God lead me on, restore apply -
the dust can settle ...when I die!
