GO, LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE
Go, because Jesus has all authority—go, let your light shine;
Go because the world is wounded, searching for hope divine.
Go because Babylon’s confusion is deep, and darkness fills the land;
Go because judgment has been announced—God’s truth still stands.
Go because evil will not last, though it seems so strong today;
Go because the Creator deserves our worship, our praise, and our way.
Go because people need to know they are more than numbers, consumers, or statistics in a line;
They are precious souls, created by God, with a purpose and a design.
So don’t hide your candle beneath the bushel or bury your testimony away—
Go where you are, and let your light shine today!
Go, because God’s commandments still matter; His Word is still true;
Go because the faith of Jesus can carry us safely through.
Go with compassion, go with courage; go near and go far;
Carry the hope of a risen Saviour wherever you are.
Go to the broken, go to the weary, go to those who cry;
Tell them there is mercy, tell them there is hope, tell them Jesus is nigh.
Let your life become a sermon, let your love become the song;
Let your hands bring healing where the world has suffered long.
We are sinners saved by grace, with a story we can share;
So shine so bright that the love of Jesus can be seen everywhere!
Go, because the King is coming—lift your eyes and watch the sky!
The trumpet will sound, the dead in Christ shall rise;
Every eye shall see Him, and every heart will know—
Our Lord, our risen Saviour, is coming—Jesus is coming soon!
The day is coming when sin, sickness, death, pain, and tears will be no more;
So until that glorious morning, let us open every door.
Go without murmuring, go without fear; tell your family, tell your friends:
Jesus saves! Jesus lives! Jesus is coming again!
The clock is ticking, the morning is breaking, the darkness cannot stay—
GO! LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!
Shine where you are, shine bright, shine true;
Let Jesus be seen, let Jesus be known, let Jesus shine through you!
