Go For It
It’s scary to venture from out of your walls
Into the realm of an instinct that calls
Resistance is futile when the seed is sewn deep
Whose curious fingers reach into your sleep
When the spark of intent grows strong in your breast
Like a flower breaks through from its wintry crest
It won’t let you be, it’s dishonest to try
To suppress and stay safe as your life passes by
When you accept that you must take your chance
To go with your calling and make your advance
Then believe in yourself and steel your resolve
To conquer the problems your quest may involve
Whatever happens, you must follow your dream
Keep going however hard it may seem
Hold tight to the yearning that serves to inspire
That drives you on forward with passion and fire
Say firmly 'I Can' but not 'What If I fail?'
Be of positive mind and you will prevail
On your journey through all of the testing and trials
En route to your goal that will end up with smiles.
When triumph results from the course that you took
Let no one dismiss it as nothing but luck
Your prize will be earned for the grit you have shown
Throughout your endeavour and the way that you’ve grown
