Go Figure
With frequent migraine and poor health
Spouse’s plea for sex is put on hold
Yet if he seeks it somewhere else
The wife finds strength to scorn and scold.
But when the town’s brothel closed
All wives were vehemently opposed.
Husbands’ needs landed in wives’ hands.
Plain pleas then turned to crude commands.
Same old, same old and still in vain,
Now perplexed husbands rack their brain.
Don’t question quirks of womanhood -
Wives to be loved, not understood.
