Go Away Little Light

I sabotaged your light, I pushed it far away.
Though it flickers bright, I don't want it to stay.
One day you'll understand that I'm only saving you
Deep within this darkness there is no room for two
I have grown accustomed to swaying away your light
Even though persistent, this darkness always fights
Go away little light, for here you don't belong
Even though a fighter, this darkness is to strong
Fly away little light, I truly wish you well
You don't belong with me where all this darkness dwells
Go away, little light, run far away
Even though I love you, I don't want you to stay

An embracing of loneliness or a fear of feeling wanted. This is a very strong piece. Excellent atmosphere created here!
