Glow
A flickering light
That used to shine consistent
Showing signs of it's time in service
No checking on it's condition
Trying to illuminate
To enhance your vision
A selfless light bulb can make
A whole world of difference
To rescue you from darkness
Is exactly what its job is
Reguardless of what the cost is
It's mission will get accomplished
It knows that it's replaceable
And still shines every day for you
You go and flip the switch
Expecting it to make your room
Brighter like it always does
But this time it doesnt
Fill the spots the darkness was
The light bulb is done with
You twist it counter clockwise
And shake it like it has not died
Place it back in its socket
But no it still does not shine
You go ahead and toss it
Inside of your garbage
One second you need it
The next it gets discarded
It shined until it died
Which is more than most can say
This light is like my life
Enjoy the glow until it goes away
