Glass Encounters of a Lengthy Lunchtime
In bed by eleven, can’t sleep a wink
up-and-at-‘em ‘fore dawn, can’t even think
Lunchtime appointment with a brand-new shrink
calls for a very stiff drink
Double martini with ammoniated olives
washed down with tubes of colgate-palmolive
Back-to-work now, nearing four o’clock
after checking the fridge for how much vodka’s in stock
