Gladly Be Her Last

Of all the women in this word
I believe there's only one
Who'd walk with me through my darkest hour
Just to be my shining sun

She'd walk with me through endless seas
Without ever looking back
I may not be her first
But I'd gladly be her last

I may not be the first to ever hold her
Or the one to wipe a teardrop from her eye
But when my time on this old world is over
She'll be the one I want standing by my side

We keep coming back together
After tears shed through the years
I guess that's how we know it's fate
That keeps bringing us back here

I'd give her all of my love
As we forget about our past
I may not be her first
But I'd gladly be her last

I may not be the first to ever hold her
Or the one to wipe a teardrop from her eye
But when my time on this old world is over
She'll be the one I want standing by my side

I keep hoping that our someday
Will be just around lifes bend
And what brought us here
Will finally get to mend

I'm trying to find a way
To put my love upon her map
I may not be her first
But I'll gladly be her last

I don't need to be her first
I just long to be her last
