Glad-He-Ate-Her

Thrust a sword into my gut;
Save me from this mindless rut!
Armor, shield- an open field
(To guide my hands with luck)
One by one 'til all are killed;
Beaten, Bashed, Bested- Struck!

I'm glad you are able to visualize my poems, JM. I've long feared I rely too heavily upon emotion rather than painting an image in the reader's mind. Makes me happy to know you can see something as well as feel this piece. I always look forward to your reviews, my friend :)

It's just a play on words for fun. There is no "he" or "she". Guess this one's a dud for sure lol
