Giving Godly Grace

Gust of self-centric storm blew in the deserted life
I didn’t know a calm niche of bliss nestled in heart
Veil of the spreading shadow of the simmering ego
I couldn’t remove to discover the concealed oasis
Not until broken kaleidoscope of ruined lives I saw
Ground in the grip of tempest of ordained turmoil.

Gloomy teary face of hungry orphan child on road
Opaque eyes of petrified mother who lost her child
Deep silent sigh of the destitute resigned to destiny
Lighted in my dark wilderness soul-searching beacon
Yearning to find the fountain of divine benevolence.

Garnering gentle grace of God in the sanctum of soul
Reservoir of overwhelmed humane feelings I empty
Assuage with hope the pain of those in fallen sky’s debris
Convey to them God’s eternal blessing of sanguine solace
Endeavor to kindle in abyss of hearts candle of kindness.
