Give Them a Box

Forget the stores, the mail and the mall. A two-year-old with a box is two foot tall. Forget the bows, the ribbons and the lace. A three-year-old with a box is in outer space. Save your money, and save lots of time too. A four-year-old with a box has his own zoo. Take all that other junk back to the store. The box is being decorated into a front door.

Kids and animals are so much alike; we spend billions every year on toys for both when a box will suffice. Well penned.

Did anyone realize I was trying to make this poem into a box?

Did you notice this was supposed to be the shape of a box?

This is wonderful Caren and so true of course. A box is anything a child wants it to be and in this day and age it is so important they can let their imaginations run wild, as they should. Great write and hoping you are keeping warm! Kindest thoughts Ann xx

I am not keeping warm Ann. This is our 7th day off school. Wintery mix. I am furious with the ice and sleet king; he was busy all night here.
