Give Me Wings

By Laura

It's just a breeze, for me, you see
To take away these memories
Cause you and I left them behind
Dreams we never could define

We got lost in echoes of
Meaningless displays of love
Choking on the raging sea
Give me wings and set me free

They'll never understand the tears
These drops of fear will kill me, dear
Without a place to sing our song
Drifters, yeah we're vegabonds

So count the pennies that we had
And pay the price for being sad
The empty faces we have known
Let's find a place to call our own
