Give Me Time
If only time were wiser
and we in life more inspired
then perhaps this journey
would be less filled with yearning
and each of us could gladly embrace
the paths and scenery in this race.
But time, so quick is fleeting
that we barely raise our greetings
then live and laugh and cry
as the years pass by.
Give me time to do
all the things I promised you
of mystery and magic beauties
embodied by this living duties,
give me time to be me, unmasked
it's really all of life I ask.
