GIVE ME STRENGTH FOR THE JOURNEY

give me strength for the journey 
as I voyage with Christ
gird me up to now trek 
In His magnificent light 

now to soar like an eagle 
never weary nor growing faint 
now basking in God's glory 
rising up with no constraints.

give me a godly fortitude 
bless me with a toughness of spirit 
a Holy Ghost attitude

sustain me, maintain me 
afford me a renewed tenacity
give me hope to now cope 
with a righteous audacity 
lift me shift me, gift me 
with a stamina like that of Christ 
give me endurance for this journey 
as I travel this road called life

as I await your grace
