Give Me My Heart

You’ve carved you name upon my heart. You’ve decided that we no longer fit. You’ve gotten to know every inch of my being. You’ve decided to use that against me. Why must you tell me only what is wrong? Why must you poison me with your greed? Why must you tell me how much you hate? Why must you not make me feel good enough? How do I get away from the sin? How do I just runaway? How do I go when I am addicted? Where do I even go from here? There is no place where I can hide. At least, not hide in peace. I would be burdened by knowing you are there, That you are there roaming this world. I would give you everything, The money, the children, I’d give it all to you. All I ask in return, Is that you give me my heart.
