Give Me Lord

Give me Lord a godly soul
Who knows how best to pray.
Give me Lord a humble soul
Who would hearken your say.

Give me Lord a covering roof
To keep the sun away.
Give me Lord a standing roof
To keep the rain at bay.

Give me Lord a paying job
To busy me all day.
Give me Lord a fruitful job
That charity I may.

Give me Lord a Lovely spouse
A righteous one I pray.
Give me Lord a dotting spouse
Someone to play and sway.

Give me Lord upright offspring
To help me when I'm grey.
Give me Lord steadfast
offspring That
won't forsook your way.

Give me Lord a royal place
For after-life-ing stay.
Give me Lord a pleasant place
Goodness is all I pray...
