Give Me Concern For the Lost - Prayer
Fill me anew with your Spirit;
Give me concern for the lost.
Anoint me for your service;
Use me in your harvest.
I commit my life to your leading—
May my heart be filled with your love;
Full of concern for the dying,
Who have a home prepared above.
Give me opportunities to witness;
To tell of your mercy and joy;
Your precious Holy Spirit—
You left this earth to deploy.
Place in me a fire—
That burns deep within.
May this passion be contagious,
So that others too will begin.
Use me to bless the hurting;
Pray for all their needs,
So they can see your handiwork,
And miracles for others to concede.
May joy and peace be with me;
May your love be highly sought—
Not for selfish reasons,
But for others lives you have bought.
May my concern for the lost—
Compel me into action.
I trust you, Lord, to enable me;
In everything, I seek confirmation.
Place a double portion of your Spirit—
Upon my life today.
May all the lost be drawn to you,
And may “I” not get in the way.
