Give Life

I wish I could feel the joyous kick
The occasional summer salt
The swimming inside of me

I wish I could look on that monitor
See what they see
Hear what they hear

That tiny face
Those hands and feet
A heartbeat strong

I will never have that
I will never receive such a blessing
I will never get to hold that baby

There are so many mothers
So many who don’t care
So many who do…

While those of us who long for just one time
While others terminate one after another
I cringe at the thought

How could anyone end it
How could anyone end life
No matter what the circumstance

That baby inside deserves life
Give that baby a life
Give us a chance
Let us adopt
Don’t take their life

This is heart wrenching and wonderful at the same time. The beauty of life and the wanting of life is very evident in this well expressed piece. You have done a masterful job of revealing your heart..well done.
