"give It a Year"

Death has taken my love from me.
My forever love I'll no longer see.
My family,friends say give it a year.
The words I don"t want to hear.
You need to know you gave it your all.
Before you find someone else to call.
Don't fill your life with hurt and pain.
Give it a year and then there's no one
                     to blame.

I knew a woman that didn't wait and her life
fell apart.

Carolyn Devonshire April 10, 2010 at 7:20 PM Some people need to wait a year or two before moving on, Teresa, but others get on with their lives more quickly. My father was dating again only months after my mother died and he married one year after her death. Whatever works best for you is what you should do. As soon as you are able to let someone fill that void, I think you should go for it. I tend to grieve far too long and it's not productive. Love, Carolyn
