Girl

There's a girl
that people mistake
for me. She's the one
that they all see, she
laughs and she jokes,
she is so outspoken.

But no one can
see that inside she's
torn and she's broken.

All they can
see is a happy young girl,
she's smart and sassy,
so free from the world.

Inside her is
where I dwell inside this...

cold, dark, empty shell.
