Gingerbread

Gingerbread house
Ice cream cone tree
1 piece of candy for the house
2 pieces for me

The air is full 
With the smell of molasses 
I need to lie down 
As my blood sugar crashes

Cookies, Candy canes 
And a Hershey's kiss
Belief in Santa, youthful metabolism 
These are things that we really miss

December is great
My favorite you bet
The next 11 months 
Trying to get out of debt

The final stanza hits hard as many end to overspend at this time of the year - not me though we buy when we need something not because a day dictates:-) have a wonderful time over the festive season:-) hugs jan xx Login to Reply
