Gifts of Light
Light is shed not upon this fragment of time
As man searches out its destiny and reward
Where choices made are often now crimes
With no thought at all, given unto the Lord
It is with hope I beg the world reconsider
All its misgivings, bad choices, its events
For man is but small, being a mere splinter
Within the world God created and so now defends
Upon an epiphany, as true insight unveils
We can stop the atrocities plaguing the earth
Giving to laughter from all haunting wails
Regaining our rights that were granted at birth
Reach for the light that shines upon earth
