Gifts

It feels like yesterday
but looking at them I know it’s not
as they got so big and so fast too.

I only wish, right now,
that somehow I could turn back clocks.
Yes, that is what I really wish to do.

For there was such joy
each and every time I heard them cry.
Symbolically from the womb of love, they were torn.

I look back and now smile,
as four of the greatest gifts I had received
were given on the days my children were born.
