Gifts

For sunsets that can make me sigh;
for all your candy for the eye -
each mountain, forest, lake or shore.
I Praise you, God, for gifts galore.

For all my friends and family;
for everyone who’s there for me;
for those with goodness at their core.
I praise you, God, for gifts galore.

For sciences and for the arts;
for all the things that touch our hearts.
You always give us more and more!
I praise you, God, for gifts galore.

A nun once told me that God receives many prayers asking for things, but few that offer praise and thanks. You have given us a wonderful Kyrielle, Andrea. Just look at all the things for which you're thankful! Congrats on a first place. Hugs, carolyn

This is one of the best Kyrielle I have read Andrea. This beauty is going into my Faves! Your rhyme and meter are superb which is often difficult to pull off with this form. This is sure to be a top winner! Happy new year....and what a way to begin it! xxoo

Andrea, happy I found this... a lovely end of year prayer and reminder of all the blessings we have received from on high. Nature, loved ones, education; those are three great high points to focus on. And as always your precision in rhyme and meter are appreciated. Hugs ~ John
