Gifted Remedy

Buried under shields from the slightest sting
Not one sense aware of the suffering
Blind to the darkest path I created
Deaf to the cries I once defeated
Language of pain forgot to exist
My frozen heart did best resist
Silence muttered once again
Wounds healed until their end
Circle of life stood at its edge
Peace untangled from its web
Empty pages burnt to words
Cries of blood were at once heard
Worst nightmare turned into a dream
Tears of victory flowed down the stream
Gave meaning to a nameless curse
Took sorrow out this pitiful verse

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

This could be classified as couplets since you have rhymed in couplets except for the lines Circle of Life Stood At Its Edge/Peace Untangled From Its Web...Enjoyed reading this one..Great work..Sara
