Yet, we never inform them of Greeks bearing gifts,
innocently they succumb to the adulation of strangers,
or family associates,
who weasel their way into their lives by promising them all sorts of gifts,
The lure of brand new, shiny things lure them away,
Sometimes into conditions that are hard to define,
revealed slowly, over time,
The children lose their innocence to objects of their desires,
too afraid to tell,
because in their world all adults conspire.......
