Gift Girl
Before I was born
You gave me
A birth - normal
Shrouded in mystery
As a toddler
I saw you - spirit
Painting me in a world
But, I came to fear it
You drew me in
I cast them out
Diseased memories
Broken parts strewn about
You gathered me together
One piece at a time
In order - you restored
The people of my mind
Deep within - spirit stirred
The dragon raged
Passion roared
Til expression was caged
I rested in sorrow
As I grieved
Grateful for opportunity
Desiring to be relieved
Just when black consumed
And hope found itself, doomed
~A Gift~
Otherworld Girl
Secrets concealed
Value assigned
When gift is revealed
Can't desire
The unknown
Gift Girl
Must be shown
