Giddy Boy
Grandson Gideon’s three
and he takes after me:
a truth that is sometimes quite hard.
Just last night after dinner,
he pulled a real winner,
decided to poop in the yard.
It’s easy to laugh,
but he needed a bath,
and he hadn’t a fresh change of clothes
So things got a bit squirrely,
and the family left early,
but with kids, sometimes that’s how it goes.
Now the dogs are real curious
‘Bout the not-too-injurious
assault on the plants in the bed.
So we’ll give a wide steer
till rain washes things clear,
and about that, no more need be said.
