Ghost of Yesterday

Watching the clock tick And minutes passing by Heavy in my heart I tell you goodbye. I wish you could just stay With your youth and merriness And dreams to change the world But perhaps I was too late Hours passed us by. And I left you behind. Looking at myself today I remember you from yesterday. You were a little more hopeful Optimistic than what I am right now. And I remember you ten years ago A time when everything was possible. Every door was open. And there were secrets to explore. There comes a time Perhaps in everyone’s life When you look into the past more so than the future When you feel there’s nothing worth waiting for Perhaps for me, it came a bit too early.
