Ghost Memories

You fade with each inhale
Slip like moments of sand
Drift away and apart
As I find a place to land
In sweet smiles and shed tears
I whisper the words we use to say
It was laughter that once filled
Now where the corpses lay
In each cobweb I tear and move
My feet and hands now numb
I search and search in hope
Someday I will find reminders some
Of you and me
Tangled in late nights
Of ghost memories
in a brighter light.
