Ghaza

Grovel for blood, grovel for blood you bastards Hunger for bodies of innocent children and flee Amidst webs of mayhem you throw the world asunder “Zionists we are, all so powerful, all so free!” And again the injustice of war compels me To speak in anger and utterly be I am sorry fellow poets if harshness comes with words But the news gives me not any joy, not any glee For the people of Palestine are now in torture And all I can do is watch Ghaza fall to become debris

Very powerful heart-felt poem. What happens in Palestine is truculent beyond description. They're narrowing it down to just Gaza and the West Bank, but we should never forget it's "Palestine" as a whole that is unjustifiably occupied.

Ryhming poetry. Words full of passion. May I suggest adding a third stanza in which you explain the need of mutual love and respect among all the nations! starting with respectful civil rights which has to start with compehending the "ten commandments" in the Christian religion and Bahaii religion. Thank you for your beautiful poem.

Nothing more tragic and sad than innocents killed in powere struggle...I feel it is such a terrible irony to think that blood is shed over God's name. This is a moving poem Farah!!

In "Ghaza," no need to say "sorry fellow poets" for we do understand your anger and your pain, the same I felt in my "Madonna of the Rubble" you have commented on with understandable pain and rage, the same that caused my poem to germinate from a a Gulf Daily News 2004 caption: "A Palestinian woman holds a baby as she weeps on the rubble of her house in the Riffa refugee camp." How our poems find relevance in today's rage and pain-filled headlines of your rage and pain-gripped land!

Hello Farah, In every story of conflict I see in the news, the thing that drives the sorrow into me the most, is the children. My heart goes out to your people, too long they've been oppressed and abused, the result of which is this so called rocket terrorism. will the world ever see it for what it really is. Biggest problem is America and England caused all this by handing Palestine over to the Jewish people so it could be called Israel... will USA and UK ever admit to this ?? I don't think so.
