Getting Your Wish

I wished upon a star one day
Was shocked that it came the very next day
I wished for a woman with eyes of blue
But the one that came was 82
I also wished for a smile so bright
But not that she took them out at night.
I wished for long walks along the shore
Not pushing her wheelchair for hours or more.
But for love you will go farther than you ever knew
In the end you will know it made a better you
