Get Real
to get real is something that we all need to do
to get real about what it is that God desires of you
Jesus of Christ came to deliver salvation and hope
He came to tell us to get real and show us how to cope
If you think that life is measured by possessions, money and wealth
it will quickly get real to you when you discover that money can't buy you health
as life is not about the things that you own
it's about giving the glory to God's heavenly throne
One day a man came to Jesus with an attitude
he wanted Jesus to tell his brother to show some gratitude
self-centered, self-consumed out of control with his greed
he had the nerve to tell the Son of Man that he needed to intercede
Jesus then told him to get real for I did not come here to judge
I came to bring salvation to man not to settle a petty grudge
God is about order, He has a mission and a plan
He has a destiny mapped out for each and every man
yet mankind is so caught up in securing secular possessions
we've lost our true focus and now need God's intercession
We tend to treat Jesus like a sugar daddy who'll give us our hearts desires
but The Savior came to modify our behavior into something that God could admire
we think that if we pray enough all of our wishes will be granted
but that is not the seed in the garden that the Lord God had planted
Jesus Christ was a gift sent to us, His life to be sacrificed
He came not to judge but to bring clarification to our lives
We need to get real with God and quickly understand
that He did not give us life without a purpose nor a plan
so find your reason for being, seek out your destiny
discover what it is that God planned for you to be
and if you think that your life will be measured by the number of things you own
you'll be judged and found wanting when you stand before the heavenly throne
so get real and in sync with God and find your true purpose for being
allow God to order your steps and let the Holy Ghost do the leading
get real and in tune with God and embrace the Holy Spirit
seek out your destiny and don't stop until you get it
