Gentle Soul
You have a gentleness about you
That comes from deep within your heart
I can feel the sweetness in your soul
Like a yearning whisper that won’t depart.
My dreams of you consume me
They take my breath away
Causing me to lie awake
Before the first light of day.
You allow my imaginings
To become webs of fantasy
I almost feel your warm embrace
Consuming the very depths of me.
Tread lightly upon my soul
It is fragile and needs lots of care
I feel warm and safe in your love
Because I know you will always be there.
Do not worry overly much
About things that are to come
You love me and I love you
Together…..we are one
