Gentle Reminders

On one of those days
That hurt more than most
I want you to know
That I'm ever so close

May you see the reminders
That are all around you
Like the loving of family
And caring friends too

May your cup overflow
May your bounty be great
Such as mine are
In this beautiful place

The wind is my whisper
To tell you I'm there
A gentle rain in the spring
To help hide a tear

The first ray of sunshine
On each glorious day
An everlasting reminder
That I'm touched by God's grace

As the leaves turn in fall
And the flakes fall as snow
I'll always be with you
Wherever you go

So reflect in the memories
Of my life's beautiful past
May your heart know no sorrow
May your sadness not last

Though our relationships changed
I still watch over you
I share in your sadness
And happiness too

May these gentle reminders
Help comfort and soothe
For now I'm an Angel
And walk next to you
